Day 1: Labuan Bajo – Sabolan

We will collect you from your hotel or Labuan Bajo airport by noon and host you onboard. After a refreshing welcome drink and settling into our cabins, your Phinisi will then set course for the Sabolan island where we will do 2 check dives. The sea mound at this dive site provides extremely clear visibility that is inhabited by large schools of surgeonfish, massive sea fan corals, and varieties of hard and soft corals in the shallows.

Day 2: Gili Lawa Laut & Darat

Day two is our personal favourite in terms of diving. We will arrive in the bay area in the early morning and spend all 4 of the dives on those excellent dive sites. Both Castle Rock and Crystal Rock, two submerged pinnacles home to an abundance of marine life, are world class dive sites with an incredible underwater activity. Strong and unpredictable currents, the feature of North Komodo, find its greatest expression there. Sometimes washing machine current and down current are encountered. The sites, with good visibility and the rock structure full of soft corals, are perfect for observing those big creatures of the boundless blue sea, such as sharks, sea turtles, eagle rays, a large group of sardines at dusk, and even dolphins if lucky enough. During the ascent, schools of barracuda, trevally, mackerel and batfish might pass us by. Then we visit the legendary dive site Shot Gun which is famous for its rip roaring drift dive. We can take a leisurely view of coral cliffs, sandy macros creatures, reef sharks cruising in the canyon, Jack fish feeding against current, and then enjoy the thrill of strong current pushing forward.

Due to volcanic activity,in places, a steady stream of gaseous sulfur, bubbles up from the sand making its way towards the surface and you can feel the heat when you put your hand on it. After lunch, we will anchor up and head to Banta Island where there will be a famous muck night dive site called Stargazer Beach. As the name suggests, you can see stargazing fish there.

Day 4: Tora Longkoy – Padar – Lohoksera

Arriving at Tora Longkoy Bay along the south coast of Komodo where the most well-known dive site ’Manta Alley’ is located. It is in fact a manta cleaning station. Because of facing the vast Indian Sea, it provides a wonderful wide-angle shooting opportunity for photographers. The three rocks at the dive site are covered with colorful soft and hard corals, sharks and many other large fishes can be seen here, as well as various marine life such as jack fish, tuna, napoleon, barracuda etc.

Next, we will visit Padar island, famous for its “Pillar Rock ” dive site. When you see a small pinnacle rock, that is it. We enter the water at the southern end of the island. There is a cave at about 40 meter with visibility of 10-12 meters. Night dive will be spent on Lohoksera. After dinner we will depart for Tatawa Island.

Day 5: Tatawa Besar – Tatawa Kecil

We start our dives in Tatawa Besar and Tataw Kecil after breakfast. Currents in this area can be quite strong and complicated, so the enter point will be determined by direction of the current. This would be a thrilling drift dive, the current is a little bit strong while it is barely able to fight by your kick. The fish life here is abundant and big mantas and bamboo sharks will occasionally hover around. Sea turtles are routine here. Photographers will be cheerful with any luck. Besides, black flag sharks, giant trevally, great blacktail barracuda will show up for you.

The south of Tatawa Besar is called Tatawa Kecil. We enter the shallow water on the west coast, explore the vibrant coral gardens, scorpions everywhere, groupers hiding under the rocks or in caves, large groups of Humpback snapper, green puffer fish, and some orange-spotted trevally.

Day 6: Pink Beach – Komodo

Arrival in Komodo Island in the morning, and spend 2 dives just off the famous Pink Beach. After lunch, we go ashore for a ranger guided hike into the interior of Komodo Island (about 4-5 kilometers round-trip), to look for Komodo dragons. After this unforgettable meeting, we will anchor up and head to Labuan Bajo.

Day 7:Labuan Bajo

We arrive in Labuan Bajo in the morning then disembark after breakfast for your onward journey. We wish you a nice journey back home or to your next destination.
